Winter 2008,Round 06: MBCC v Sydney Park Hotel Apaches (Gladesville Hospital)

Soldiers,

Rd 6 on Sunday we Played Sydney park hotel Apaches at Gladesville Hospital. Breakers Smashing Apaches by 156 runs!

With 2 Debutants in the team 1 was outstanding, he shall be known as YUVi He scored a Tonne on debut and demoralised the opposition.

No No, in all serious now, YUVI was a hand me down bat from Dylan Calder to Douglas with a pick up like a dead wobbygong left in the sun it went into battle and was Seriously knocked in by Rob Lavery in his first stint of 44 runs before retiring.

Enter Doug Alley carrying The Yuvi, scoring a Rock solid 40no also retiring. The YUVI now beaten to a firm state of no return.

Another impressive display of Bludgeoning batting by Richo with 29

The return of Rob and Doug at the back end saw Breakers Reaching 227. With Rob just falling shy of a century with 94 runs and Doug blasting 60 runs

An Excellent score considering the Goat track of a field we were presented with.

Apaches never looked like giving much with the bat bowled for 71 runs with ALL our bowlers bowling superbly and ensuring the Win.

D.Alley 6 overs 2 for 10 (rediculous)

P.Sweet 6 overs 0 for 21 unlucky

R. Lavery 6 overs 2 for 14 lightning fast (must have been JB's pants)

J.Barbaroux 4 overs 4 for 11- Awesome.

A.smith 3 overs 0 for 12 very solid

Needless to say Breakers played awesome and Looked Awesome.

Gary Hanson also taking a great catch, unlucky with the bat.

Debut for Rob Wagner who blended in nicely, but sadly running Arty out. but scoring 4 runs and fielding well.

Rob Lavery 3 points 6-2-14 and 94 runs

Doug Alley 2 points 6-2-10 and 60 runs

Treuberg (apaches) 1 Point 6-0-11 and 21 runs.

Next game Artarmon Oval saturday 26th july vs Red Sun.

Catch You then or at The AGM for others.

Great work.

Winter 2008, Round 04: MBCC v St George Leagues

Gents, Rd 4 Saw us take on St George Leagues and unfortunately we lost, our captain once again lost the toss and we were sent in to bat scraping our way to 177 from 35.4 overs with again a solid start from Fish with 20 with Help from Gary with 17.

A very Big welcome back to Phil sweet who scored a very smart 39. also a return to scoring runs for myself with 71 from 33 balls. A bit rough even for me.

St georges opening Batsman found there feet early and although some fine bowling from fish 0-25-6 went unrewarded they were well on their way to hauling in the brekers total of 177. Some great bowling from JB and Phil Sweet gave some resistance but some dropped catches and Poor bowling gave St George a 'Healthy Hand' and eventually the Win St George 2 for 180 after 31 overs.

3 points L.stevens (St george). 2 points A.Ball. 1 point M.Bell (St George)

Next Game is Sat 28th June and sees us take on Clinton Perron Invitational at Artarmon Oval.

Look forward to Picking a full side

Winter 2008,Round 03: MBCC v Buddah Belly (Moore Park 12)

FYI. We played Buddah Belly yesterday, at Moore Park 12. And we got SMASHED. Some good individual performances, but the fact we only had 8 players on the field was extremely disappointing and was, i believe, a huge handicap. With 17 players in our squad, only 7 were avaliable to play. and again ihad to play Clinton from my work who was less than ordinary with the gloves.

Buddah Belly all out for 254 runs, defeat Breakers all out 146 runs. Lloyd Walker and Richard Smith both Got 44 runs. Great Bowling also by Matt Fisher and Justin Barbaroux.

Next 2 Games on 14th and 28th June both on Saturdays. Lets See if we can get a Full Team (10 players)

Winter 2008,Round 02: MBCC v GDNS (Moore Park)

Gentleman

Winter Rd 2 Saw us take on GSNDS (Gladstone Small Neck Development Sqaud) and although

we got off to a great start (7 for 59) there last batsman scored an annoying 74 until David Armpits Lang decided to use 2 hands and took an amazing catch under his left armpit to dismiss him. GSNDS all out for 128.

Highlights Matt Fishers 3 for 12 from 6. Naths 2 for 29 from 6. Roger Moores 2 for 9 from 4 and JB's 1-23 from 4.

Richo and Matt Fisher opened with Richo Falling to a first ball Duck. Which soon led to a collapse of the top order, Breakers in all sorts of trouble before a solid partnership between Nathan Peterson and Newcomer Clinton Adams before Clinton fell for a hard fought 8, Nathan eventually falling for 43.

In-coming batsman Roger moore fresh from a first round Duck Scoring an Unbeaten 38 - including a 6 that was into the trees - Saving the day for Manly Breakers and Winning us our first Game

Also Big Thanks to Rob Spit and David Lang for filling in for us.

3 Points Nathan Peterson. 2 Points Mark Johnstone (GSNDS). 1 Point Roger Moore.

Next Game Sunday 25th May Please Reply Early if you are Avaliable or Not

Winter 2008: Round 01

Gents,

We had our first game for the winter season on saturday and well , we lost. Although the ground was awesome, the grass was mown to the level suitable for grazing cattle and a tough day was had fielding and also batting.

Highlights for the game were Matt Fishers 3-18 from 4 overs and a tiring 19 runs.

Rob Lavery also bagged 2 scalps for 20 from 6 overs and matched Fish's score of 19.

Gary Hanson also managed a couple, taking 2 -9 from 3 overs. Well done Gary on your first Winter Wickets.

Also thanks to Douglas Alley and Arthur Smith for keeping, and Langy for umpiring(shi# yeah) and Lloyd for giving us some laughter (chuck it in bro).

Thanks also to everyone who played for supporting me in my first game as captain, I believe we played very well given the circumstances. And can only improve.

Our next game is on Saturday the 10th May (ground TBA). Please reply if you are avaliable as it is also Presentation Day for our club.

In the words of another SNIPER UP go rambo.

Cheers, Bally
