Favourite Band & Song: Hoodoo Gurus
Favourite Movie: 50 First Dates Favourite TV Show: V8 Sports Favourite Book: Favourite Food: Tiger Prawns & Goats Cheese & Spinach Pizza at Australian Hotel Favourite Drink: Beer Heroes: My children Anthony Brown, "Browny", "Tones", "Big Fella..." Absolute Nutter! Tony was our psychological weapon against teams. He would always be doing some bizarre dance, signal or war cry like "Cmon!" in the field. His personal behaviour with good mate Matthew Beckett, showed to many that they are close.. just don't ask! But on a serious note, Tony along with his 100-year old bat scored plenty of runs, rode many a pony and could find the boundary. Tony is a great bloke, good team man and is one of the most improved players this year who promises bigger things for the club in the seasons to come. (Hilly, May 2003) An inspiration for all of us on and off the field, for his great attitude, his hugs, and his tireless efforts to help the team out. Mr Brown had a good season establishing himself as very good change bowler, a reliable batsman anywhere in the order, and even as a fill in vice captain on more than one occasion. Further improving and managing to be a close challenger for most improved for the second year in a row. Won the moustache growing comp with his John Newcombe impression. (Fish, May 2004) “The Brown Spot”, “Tone”, “Anthony of Team Telstra”, “Oi, Nutter”, “Andrew Turnip”, call him what you will, there is no one quite like the Breakers’ favourite son, Tony Brown. Whilst parental commitments ensured he chased more children than leather this year, Tony still made his presence felt throughout the season. With “the Lovely” Ros cheering him on, he gave his all and contributed with bat, ball and warm embraces in another fun-filled season. (Fish/Rob Lavery, May 2005)
