Favourite Band & Song: Avril Lavinge – Girlfriend
Favourite Movie: A Cinderella Story Favourite TV Show: E Street – the original and the best Favourite Book: Ice Station Favourite Food: Is beer a food? Favourite Drink: Is beer a drink? Heroes: Rob Lavery, Mahatma Gandhi, George Michael The Moss Vale Monster spent several years in hiatus before returning to professional cricket. After ‘knocking in’ his bat down south for three seasons in preparation for his first game, he then came out and scored a primary followed by an angry walk back to the pavillion. Not to be disheartened, he continues to pursue batting. (Lavery?) An outstanding season from the Gimlet. Like his nickname suggests, the Gimlet causes many problems for opposing sides. He is a genuine all rounder who contributed heavily with the bat, ball, gloves and in the field. He has scores of 85, 76 and 70 to his name this year that prove his abilities with the bat. The club has also agreed to subsidise his anger management training following an incident with his helmet at Nolans. (Doug-a-las, 2007/08) The Gimlet had another great year in 2008/09. Not only did he contribute to the two 10 wicket victories the club achieved this year but he also took a great hat trick early in the season. This rare achievement is testament to how good a cricketer Gimlet is. Unfortunately the anger management classes the Manly Breakers club have provided for Gimlet have not been working as was proven by Gimlets “Outbursts” after being dismissed on several occasions throughout the year.
