What can you say? What can a captain say when he has batted with his keeper twice in a season, yielding positively no runs, but managaing two run-outs, facing a total of two balls while in partnership, the second of which been Skid running the captain out for a Golden Duck. Fantastic effort, Skid! Really Skddy has been in good touch this season particularly with the gloves, taking some sharp catches and scoring a few runs after a slow start to the season. Skid’s highlight would be his 40-odd not out against Balgowlah, which where Skid's form was found again. Another highlight would be wearing bunny ears fielding in the last match of the season, no one knows why, honestly Skid, no one cares (ha ha) (Fish, 2001/20) I'd also like to wish Skiddy good luck in his new off-season role as Assistant Coach of a womens' netball team! (I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions!) (Phil Sweet, 2002/03) On the lads, Mark Mullineaux had one of the best seasons I’ve seen him have with the gloves in years! Mark turned the clock back to 1985 or something. He did a great job and along with his feel for the game, ability with the bat, his contributions were vital and often timely for us. (Hilly, 2003/04) Mark “Skiddy” Mullineaux was magnificent behind the stumps where anything was possible. (Fopper, 2004/05) Skid had a quiet year.. Mark again gave us some very good keeping and often under very difficult circumstances. Usually handy with the bat, Mark seemed to struggle a little this year and had a share of bad luck too! Mark is a Breakers icon and he always gives the best of him and finds a bit extra when you have to dig deep. Mark managed a handy 29 in a solid innings with the bat against Wakehurst Redbacks, but his weekly efforts with the gloves and leadership should never be underrated. (Hilly, 2005/06) Mark Mullineaux - Even though his batting slipped this year his keeping was first class with some spectacular catches and stumpings. (J.B., 2007/08) Skiddy had an average season behind the stumps, throwing himself at some wayward bowling and fielding, He did manage to upset a few opponents with some’ old time’ sledging tactics and it was good to see our little friend get into some runs this season. On ya Warren. (Bally, 2008/09) |
