Mittens was an excellent find for the Manly Lads during the season and repaid the faith in all aspects of the game. Playing with the skill of a young Dion Morrell, he was indeed inspiring. Dion Morrell, what an obscure reference. (Laves, 2005/06)

The Sandman had a year of joy with bat in hand and also played some handy cricket. He became the first player to miss a game due to being “drained” but set the game alight in the final with top contributions in both the batting and bowling departments. Change the channel Marge! (Laves/Fish 2006/07)

Apart from having the ability to resight the entire script from the movie Predator, Mittens can also play some great cricket. Some of his highlights this year included a hat trick against Harbord Bowling Club, a 76 against the Leaguies in a must win game late in the year and “That Catch” in the Grand Final - just to name a few. The catch in the GF was the turning point in the game, and by far the best catch I have ever seen. (Doug-a-las, 2007/08)

Mittens had another blockbuster year – both on and off the field. I am sure by now we have all received one his “what would you rather” texts which are truly inspirational. The fashion sense is second to none also. The Harry High Pants impersonations are absolutely gold. In all seriousness though, his efforts on the field were at another level. His batting this year was absolutely dominant. Easily topping the averages list and seemingly doing it with ease. I am now sure that the bat he uses is a form of cheating. Well Done Lloydy. Hopefully we get to watch you play again next year. (Doug-a-las, 2008/09)
