[2001/02] "Northy, you are truely the greatest madman in the history of the known world", wrote Matt Fisher. In the best possible way of course! Northy started the 2001/02 season with a few wickets and not many runs, but managed to turn that around in the last game with lots of runs and no wickets. Northy had two highlights of 2001/02 season, the first of which was been hit for a club record 27 runs off on over vs. Balgowlah RSL (which Doug is always quick to remind him of). The second would be is 30 something in vs. Seaforth in the final game of the season, helping the Breakers post a respectable score. Northy's renditions of of old favourites such as My Way and Hotel California at the karakoe night will remain with us forever. If that is unfortunate or not, you can judge for yourselves. (Fish, 2002)

Life and soul (music) of the party. One of the hardest trainers at the club, Northy's all round game continues to improve. The only cricketer below rep level with two complete sets of gear - one for training, one for the serious stuff. (Rog 2003)

2007/08 was another great year for Northy. After missing a few rounds early in the season due to a quick trip to Vegas to tie the knot, Northy quickly found his rhythm with the ball and was devastating as ever. Norhty consistently took wickets opening the bowling and at the death. He was only slowed by his Captain hooking him way too early, or swapping ends with him mid spell to make himself look good. Northy also shone with the bat this season. His effort in the GF assured victory for the Breakers and was an outstanding knock. Ya Filthy!!! (Doug-a-las, 2007/08)

YA FILTHY!! Once again this year Northy terrorised opening batsmen with his guile and pace (or was it just the crèmes?). He has certainly not lost anything in the way of his bowling. Unfortunately for Northy, there was an ugly incident in the last game of the year whereby Northy was hit plumb in front of the stumps and given out lbw (quite rightly too). Northy was unimpressed by this and tried to show everyone how he had a mark from the ball on his hip (which we all knew was left over from fielding earlier in the day) – Nice try Northy…….. Seriously though, another great year Northy. See you in 2009/10. (Doug-a-las, 2008/09)
