Favourite Band & Song: Lollipop – Aqua, anything by Celine Dion
Favourite Movie: Backdoor S(el)uts IX Favourite TV Show: Has Backdoor S(el)uts IX released a series yet? Favourite Book: The Oxford Concise Dictionary Favourite Food: Hot Karl Favourite Drink: Earl Grey Heroes: Cat Stevens, Michael Clarke, Steven ‘Beaver’ Menzies After returning from a stint overseas in county cricket, the Roseville Express was ready to strike fear into the hearts of those on the Northern Beaches. Legend has it Poley would spend hours upon hours sticking his hands in lava, then ice, then nails, then l ava again, then gummi bears in order to prepare himself for a game until he realised he was doing serious damage to his bowling hand and the gummi bears were going soggy. He now does nothing. Poley / Witts / Curtley / Bucknor – whatever you like to call him, Poley has had another Stella year for the breakers. Probably the quietest guy in the breakers squad, Poley chooses to do most of his talking on the field through a barrage of short pitch bowling that most batsmen find too hot to handle. Just like his twin Mike Whitney used to do. Whits has also come on leaps and bounds with the bat. Often hanging around and making a nuisance of himself late in the innings and helping the breakers get those extra runs required to put on a quality total. Another face I hope to see around the club next season. Who dares wins Poley! (Doug-a-las, 2008/09) |
