Bruce Flint is originally a queenslander starting off his career with the Tannymorel Cricket Club some 19 years ago in the 1984/85 season in the local competition. In the same season he had best bowling figure of 3 for 7 of 10 overs bowling spin and a high score of 20 not out batting at number 8 at the age of 15.

The following season he earned a hat-trick gaining figures of 5 for 50 off 10 overs on 10 November 1985 against Maryvale which still remains his best bowling figure in the competition.

In the 1987/88 he played representative cricket for Warwick in the Davis Shield competition.

For Tannymorel, he has scored several hundreds and was one of the key players in the side who incidentally could catch back then. He was captain for several years and a loyal member of the club.

Bruce has played in the Warwick Australia Day Competition (i.e. one day matches played for three days) periodically for over 15 years for Rettke's XI. His highest score was 148 not on 24 January 2003 which followed a century in each of the two previous competitions.

He played for the Maroubra Baptist Cricket Club in the Churches Cricket Competition in Sydney but retired due to injuries and study committments. The highest batting score was 66 not out and left the A grade competition in the 1999/2000 season.

Due to old age (35 in October) further work is required on his catching or a pair of glasses may do the trick. But practice is out of the question, never had seriously trained and would probably kill myself if I did.
