Favourite Band & Song: You Am I
Favourite Movie: Big Wednesday Favourite TV Show: The Panel Favourite Book: Whatever I'm reading at the moment Favourite Food: All food Favourite Drink: Coca-Cola Heroes: Joe Montana, Paul McCartney A special note of thanks for Allan Le Marchand. Allan made a return for the Breakers this season to form part of the squad late in the season. Thanks for your effort and being a great clubman and answering the call. We're glad to have you back and look forward to you being a more permanent part of the team next season. (Hilly, May 2003) Al – he’s a whole lot of man. Al was at the heart of the C1’s all season, he turned up to every game and gave 100% week in week out. Al’s best work this season was generally in the field, and he managed to bag a few good catches and actually was leading the catchers for a good while. The runs were a little scarce, and also the wickets – but each time Al had a go and would never die wondering. A true team man who I am sure we will see next season. (Fish, May 2004) The G-Dock. A source of frustration to most sides - G-Dock has made a great habit of coming in to bat late in the order and proving difficult to dislodge. I think his technique of stepping away to the leg side and smashing bowlers over the top of the covers for four is the major cause of this frustration. I know for a fact from bowling to Al at training that this would be the cause of it. Al also supports the club 100%, turning up on days where he is not playing, always heading back to the pub after games and always attending the social activities put on by the club. Another great season Al, well done mate. (Doug-a-las, 2008/09)
